Hi everyone!
Today, I’m bringing a new series to you called “Energetic Surf,” a pulse on emerging energetic currents.
When it comes to energetics, change can be quick. If you’re someone who sees between the lines like I do, you’re likely already shifting your internal world and watching those currents ripple outward.
They’re sometimes subtle, sometimes grandiose–always divine. It’s what I call surfing energetics.
Reframe I’m Leaning Into
No one knows what’s better for you than you.
It’s easy to give way to the many voices in the spiritual industry–and in life in general. This guru here, that expert there, this friend, that energy portal, this framework, that transit–it’s never-ending.
While some of these voices and happenings are legitimate, many gain exponential power simply through our belief in them. We’ve long known that attention is currency, but I want to remind us all how vital the quality of our attention is to our individual sovereignty–and that’s priceless.
I wouldn’t feel so rooted in my own essence without the teachings and wisdom of so many others. And, I also recognize that we are all receiving real-time data, personalized to our soul’s evolution, straight from the source, all the damn time.
Our work is to attune our awareness so we can see what’s reflected in the divine mirror that is life; to humbly open ourselves to the lessons therein.
Sovereignty and discernment are gifts. Use them, my friends.
Pattern I’m Noticing
The fear of being seen.
So many accomplished women I met last week shared, in their own words, their fear of being seen.
Naturally, this came up as I realized deeper layers to my own fear of being seen. It’s been awe-inspiring to watch this pattern freely emerge everywhere lately. God has a sense of humor.
Here’s what I’m learning from it: this fear of visibility is a protective mechanism. The question then becomes, what are we protecting ourselves from?
Some call it the “witch wound,” which speaks to a collective memory of it being physically unsafe or life-threatening for women to be seen.
While I still believe in this concept, I’m realizing it’s reaching its limit in how helpful it is. It ties us to the past–and while recognizing and accepting the past is important, I’m much more concerned with the present of late.
It’s never been safer than now to be a loud, brave, impactful woman.
The time is now. To leverage all of the platforms available to us–digital or IRL. To share what’s on our hearts, because they’ve got a lot to say! And frankly, the world needs the medicine of a woman’s heart. Of the heart in general!
If you’re grappling with a similar fear, I’m with you. We are. It’s coming up for us to witness and to alchemize. Let’s do this together.
I’m posting TikToks and Substack Notes daily in June to flex my visibility muscle. Next month, I may just take on consistent posting on my personal Instagram, which feels like the final boss. Well, until the next one.
Shift I’m Making
Synchronicities are beautiful, but they’re not the whole picture.
Synchronicities are beautiful. I’ve been noticing a ton of them of late. Angel numbers, having a desire and seeing it manifest before my eyes, meeting people I deeply resonate with–one of whom shared my birthday!
As someone who has been in the spiritual space for some time, I’ve been averse to synchronicities.
**Gasp!**
I know–it’s the skeptic in me!
I only became a spiritual skeptic after falling down the new age movement, hard and fast.
All I saw were synchronicities at one point, and naturally, I projected my human meanings onto them. Then came years of correction by outright rejecting them.
As I’ve deepened in my capacity to surrender and trust God, I’ve found myself projecting less and witnessing more. I’ve come to notice synchronicities as a general sign of my consciousness expanding, and if they’re ever meant to be more, God will reveal that to me.
Question I’m Sitting With
How can I be more discerning about the energies I give life to, simply through diligence in my speech?
When I begin to edge into the stark delulu required to be in communion with God, my earthly fears can come back. Then, I tend to empower them by entertaining the thoughts in conversation with my inner circle.
But our words have power–especially as we transmute them from thought to speech to the written word.
This week, I’m quality-checking what I share against this question and upping the ante on my energetic hygiene.
Thanks for reading. I’d love to hear what resonated with you.
Please drop me a comment and pass along to a friend who you think would resonate with them too.
XX,
